• Load distribution panels - More powerful kite profiles means that the canopy has to carry higher loads resulting in a distorted profile and loss of efficiency. The Load Distribution Panels spread the load from the lines to a wider area keeping the profile smooth and distinct and allowing the kite to perform with maximum efficiency at all times.
• Flat delta geometry - The Flat Delta Design maximizes the projected area. Additinally, the Contral Attack Bridles distribute the power from the lines evenly over the entire leading edge. The FDD allows greater stability with narrower wing tips through less torsion of the tips.
• Attack control bridle - The Control Attack Bridle always transfers the power evenly to the kite through the Force Mixer and permits controlled changes of the angle of attack. The bridles change the angle of attack as one unit, which results in increased efficiency.
• 1 Pump system - No need to pump each rib as the North 1 Pump System fills the entire kite at once. An added advantage of this is to deflate the kite by pulling a single plug.
• Batten pockets - Built of sticky-back insignia colth lining the canopy surface where battens are located. This combines with heavy, abrasion resistant nylon fabric on surfaces that come between the batten and sources of abrasion damage.
• Cam battens - Tough Sglass rather than e-glass battens. S-glass battens are a resin matrix that is vinylester and not polyester. The fiber to resin ration is slightly lower than usual so that the battens will be tough and so that they have a smooth resin rich surface.
• Kook proof connectors - Prevents hooking the front lines to the back of the kite.
• Deflator pin - The low-drag ribs require a high inflation pressure, thus all valves at the chambers of the Rhino '08 are self-closing.
• Self-Rescue handles - These loops are attached to the inside of the wingtips make it easier to hold the kite for bodydrag rescue.
• Hex ribs - Eliminate unwanted drag, low profile and small overall diameter while not sacrificing strength.
• Segmented leading edge - Dacron Leading Edges & Ribs for all heavy stress areas. Dacron possesses the best possible breaking strength characteristics.
• Ballistic snakeskin - Adds protection and increases durability. It strengthens and stiffens the profile. Made from 2.1 oz rip-stop.
