WATER AND SNOW LOCATIONS

Georgetown Lake, MT - (beginner - advanced) Montana's first snowkiting destination. Georgetown Lake offers a great riding location year round. Winter however is a special season for this area. G-town as the locals call it is the perfect place for begginers to learn and hone in on their skills. G-town is also the location of Montana's two premier snowkiting events, The Georgetown Open and the Montana Kite Rodeo. If you are looking for the perfect place to learn or to advance your skills this is the place to do it. There are two hotels and resturaunts located on Georgetown Lake; 7 Gables Resort and the Brown Derby. Within 15 miles either direction down from the lake there are two towns Philipsburg to the west and Anaconda to the east.

Browns, Lake, MT - (beginner - advanced) Located between Ovando, MT and Helmville, MT just off of Montana Hwy 200 this is one of the best riding locations in western Montana. Concistent winds and great launch areas make this a killer lake to ride. With camp sites located 20 ft from the water you can literaly wake up and launch right from your campsite. Make sure and bring your own wood though for fires. There is little in the way of wood at the sites and if you don't bring a saw you won't be having a fire. During the winter the area surrounding the lake makes for incredible riding terrain. You can ride off the lake and up around the area including to a hidden lake that can only be reached by snowkiting too or hiking too. This is a definate must try location. Check the weather page for detailed live data from the Browns Lake area.
